The honest version
There is a lot of noise around AI, copyright, and music right now, and a lot of tools promising things they cannot deliver. So here is the straight version of what Audiverify does, and just as importantly, what it does not. If any service ever promises you more than this, treat that as your signal to walk away.
What no tool can do — including this one
Let us clear the fog first, because your trust is worth more than a quick sale. There are things no documentation tool can honestly promise:
- It cannot get your track past a distributor's AI detection. If a tool was flagged, a certificate does not un-flag it.
- It cannot make an unlicensed AI output "licensed," or change what a model was trained on.
- It cannot stop anyone from copying your track once it is public. Copies happen; a record does not prevent them.
- It cannot hand you a courtroom verdict. Documentation is supporting evidence, not a legal ruling.
Anyone who promises those things is selling you a problem. We would rather tell you the limits up front, and then be genuinely useful inside them.
What Audiverify actually does
Within those honest limits, here is what is real, and what — as far as we know — no one else gathers in one place for the creator rather than for a platform:
1. A dated, independent record of your file
A SHA-256 fingerprint of your audio, sealed with an RFC 3161 timestamp from Sectigo. In plain terms: a tamper-evident record that this exact file existed on this exact date. It does not depend on any platform, and it cannot be quietly backdated later.
2. Your side of the story, structured
A structured place to declare what you actually contributed — what you wrote, played, and arranged, and where AI was a tool rather than the author. This is the piece the industry keeps asking for and almost nothing provides. Even the AI generators themselves say they do not vouch that your lyrics or your contribution are yours. That gap is exactly what your declaration fills: your voice, on the record, in your own words.
3. Automated checks, not an empty page
Each upload runs through automated checks powered by ACRCloud: an AI-signal indicator, a derivative-works search, and a similarity scan against known recordings. These are indicative signals that add context to your record — not a verdict, and not a guarantee. Honest about what they are, but far more than a blank PDF with a date on it.
4. A complete evidence pack
Contributor splits, an ISRC, a dispute-ready evidence kit, and PRO-registration-ready exports — the documentation a collaborator, distributor, or collection society actually asks for, gathered in one place instead of scattered across your hard drive and your memory.
5. It answers to you, not a platform
Audiverify is not a distributor, a label, or a streaming platform. That difference is the whole point: their record serves them, yours serves you — and it travels with you no matter where you choose to release. Neutrality is not a footnote here; it is the reason the record is worth keeping.
Why we lead with the limits
Being clear about what we cannot do is not modesty — it is what makes everything else believable. When a tool is honest enough to say "this we cannot do," you can trust it when it says "this we can." In a space crowded with overclaiming, that honesty is as much the product as the technology behind it.
Who this is really for
The creator this fits best is the one making real music with AI somewhere in the toolkit — their own writing, their own decisions, a model used like an instrument — who is now being asked, by distributors and platforms, to show the human side of their work. If that is you, documenting your process before the question arrives is worth far more than scrambling to reconstruct it afterward.
The takeaway
- A documentation tool cannot beat detection, license an output, stop copies, or issue a verdict — be wary of anyone who says otherwise.
- What it can do is real: a dated, independent record of your file, your contribution declared in your own words, automated context checks, and a complete evidence pack.
- Because it answers to you and not a platform, the record travels with you and serves your position, not someone else's.
- The honesty about the limits is exactly what makes the value trustworthy.
You do not need a tool that promises to make your problems disappear. You need one that quietly keeps your side of the story documented, dated, and ready — so that whenever someone asks, you can answer. That is the whole job, and we do it without pretending to do more.
